Ingredients of Homemade Rolls
- Take 2 cups of skim milk.
- Take 6 cups of flour.
- It’s 1/2 cup of shortening.
- Make ready 2 Tablespoons of Yeast.
- It’s 1/4 cup of warm water.
- It’s 2 Tablespoon of Sugar.
- Take 1/2 cup of sugar.
- Take 2 tsp of salt.
- Make ready 2 of eggs.

- Heat milk and shortening until it bubbles, then let it cook until warm..
- Dissolve Yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar in warm water and wait until it doubles. (Around 10 mins).
- Add milk mixture, salt, sugar, yeast mixture, and eggs. Beat..
- Add in 2 cups of flour and beat again. Continue adding flour until dough pulls from the sides. (Less is more).
- Put dough in greased bowl and let rise. Until double in size (around 1 hour).
- Punch dough down and let rise again. (At this point, dough may be refrigerated overnight).
- Once you’re ready to cook, divide dough into 4 balls and roll out into 14” circles (there will be 8-10 rolls per circle). Shape roles, and place onto greased pan. Brush with melted butter and let rise until double. (Around 1 hour.).
