Ingredients of Kadhai chicken
- Take 500 gms of chicken.
- You need 2 of medium sized finely chopped onion.
- It’s 1 of big chopped tomato.
- Prepare 3-4 of green chillies.
- You need 2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste.
- You need 2 tbsp of red chilli power.
- It’s 1 tbsp of Coriander powder.
- You need 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
- It’s as per taste of Salt.
- Take 1 tbsp of spoon garam masala powder.
- Prepare 1 of bay leaf.
- Take 1 inch of cinnamon.
- You need 1 of medium onion paste.
- It’s 1/2 cup of yogurt.
- You need 1/2 cup of oil.
- Prepare as required of Coriander leaves for garnish.
It is a very popular dish because it is so quick and easy to prepare.Kadai chiken recipe, a gravy kind of chicken curry made using onion puree, tomato puree, cashewnut puree and it has a semi dry and slight thick consistency.The original recipe is made using a lot of cream + ghee + spices but I guess being passed from generation to generation.Cook till the chicken becomes tender.
Kadhai chicken instructions
- Take a pan add in oil and heat then add chopped onion cooked light brown add in chicken pieces and add in bay leaf and cinnamon saute for 3 mints..
- Now add all spices and cook together for 2 - 3 mints.
- Then add yogurt and tomato and add in green chilli and mix well.Then add 1 cup water and close pan with lid and cook it until becomes chicken soft..
- And last add in Coriander leaves and kadai chicken is ready to serve with chapati or paratha..
