Place all ingredients into a crock pot, salt and pepper to taste.Smothered Cabbage and Potatoes is a basic recipe but you can add in more ingredients for more flavor.Try adding some bacon or a ham hock for some meaty flavor.
I love being able to throw everything into the crockpot, set it and go about my day.You are going to want a large slow cooker because it will be quite full until the cabbage cooks down.We like our cabbage VERY tender, so we tend to cook it longer.I was able to fit all of the cabbage into the pot all at once.If you are not able to add all of the cabbage, wait until some of it cooks down, then add the remaining cabbage when you are able to.
