Ingredients of Banarsi imli wala kaddu

  1. Take 250 gram of pumpkin (cube with skin).
  2. You need 1 tsp of mustard seeds.
  3. Prepare 1 pinch of asafoetida.
  4. Prepare 1/2 tsp of mustard sheed.
  5. Take 1/2 tsp of fenugreek sheed.
  6. Make ready 1/2 tsp of ginger garlic (crushed).
  7. It’s 1 tsp of red chilli powder.
  8. Take 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
  9. Make ready 2 tsp of thick tamarind water.
  10. It’s 5-6 of curry levels.
  11. Prepare 2 of whole red chilli.
  12. Take 1 tsp of salt to taste.

  1. Heat oil in a pan, and tip in the asafoetida, mustard seeds and fenugreek sheeds..

  3. After a few seconds add the pumpkin cubes too. Toss and mix..
  4. Add the salt and turmeric powder and red chilli powder and keep toasting and mixing. Lower the flame and cover, cook coved till the pumpkin is soft but not mashed..
  5. Pour in the tamarind water and cook covered for another couple of minutes. Serve hot with chapati or puri..
