Ingredients of Whole wheat flour momos
- Prepare 2 cup of whole wheat flour.
- Prepare 1 cup of maida/All-purpose flour.
- Make ready 1 tablespoon of oil.
- Prepare 1 teaspoon of salt.
- Make ready of Stuffing.
- Prepare 1 cup of grated cabbage.
- Take 1/2 cup of grated carrot.
- It’s 1/2 cup of paneer.
- Make ready 1 of big onion.
- You need 1 teaspoon of salt.
- Make ready 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.
- It’s of Schezwan sauce/momos chutney.
- It’s 8-10 of red dried chilli.
- It’s 2 of tomatoes.
- Prepare 4 of garlic cloves.
- You need 1/2 tsp of sugar.
- Make ready to taste of salt.
- You need 1 tsp of vinegar.
- Take 1 tbsp of Oil for tadka.
Its been years since I posted Vegetable momo recipe in my blog.Generally momos are made using maida/All purpose flour.But my MIL makes it using whole wheat flour as it is more healthy.So I too started making the same following my MIL.
Whole wheat flour momos step by step
- Take all the ingredients of dough and make dough…not so stiff…not so loose.cover it..keep aside for about 15-20 min.
- Meanwhile prepare stuffing.
- Take oil in pan…saute onion…and then add all the vegetables…add salt and black pepper..saute a little.
- Don't fry too much….just have. To remove the raw veggie taste and water in the veggies.
- Now take dough…make very small balls..
- Roll it..fill it with stuffing..
- Seal it…like we make plates of saree….then join the end with help of water.
- Boil the water….keep a steel sieve over it…if you don't have steamer…..
- Brush the sieve with oil….keep momos on it to steam…do not overload it.
- Steam for around 10-12 min. Do not over steam.
- Sprinkle oregano and maggi masala.
- Serve it with chutney…..
- To prepare momos chutney…boil red chillis and potatoes for around 10 min.
- Sieve the water…peel off tomato…ground them all to make a paste.
- Then turn of tadka…take oil in pan..add garlic, saute a little,add chutney….sugar, salt, vinegar..
- Boil it..chutney is ready.let it cool..
