Ingredients of Wheat Sweet Orotti/ Meeta Parata
- It’s 2 cups of wheat flour.
- It’s 1 - 2 tablespoons of rice flour (optional).
- You need 1 cup of coconut grated fresh.
- You need 2 tablespoons of sugar.
- It’s 3 - 4 numbers of bananas ripe mashed.
- Prepare to taste of salt.
- Take 2 - 3 cups of water.
- Take 2 - 3 tablespoons of ghee.
Wheat Sweet Orotti/ Meeta Parata step by step
- Make a loose soft sticky dough from atta,rice flour, ghee,salt,sugar with enough water..
- Add the coconut and mashed bananas and knead in wit your wet fingers as shown in picture..a wet dough..it will be sticky but dont fret,it will work well..
- Next, make orange or Apple size balls with wet palms and let it rest on base for 5 mins..
- Heat a tawa or griddle with some ghee and put the ball in centre and slowly press or flatten it with wet palm(keep dippibg your hands in a bowl of water) from the centre towards outside..
- Let it cook with cover on for 3-4 minutes and flip it to other side. Drizzle oil on sides of the parata and let it become crisp in low heat. Whn wanted you can add ghee but its not necessary..
- Serve hot with honey or caramel drizzled or have it just like that!! A good breakfast option when leftover banana and dough!.
