MANGO KALAKANDn The king of fruits, mango, adds a perfect twist to creamy kalakand. Curdled milk is expertly blended with mango puree and creates this tropical confection.

Ingredients of Exotic mango kalakand

  1. You need 2 of ripe mango pulp.
  2. Make ready 1/2 litre of heavy cream milk.
  3. It’s 2 tbsp of amul ghee.
  4. You need 1 of big pinch of saffron/ kesar strands.
  5. It’s 1 tbsp of elachi powder.
  6. Prepare 4 tbsp of sugar (less or more depends on sweetness of mango).

Kalakand is a soft, creamy, milk fudge, served during festive occasions like Holi and Diwali.It is a luxurious sweet with a unique texture and taste.The key ingredients of this sweet/mithai are milk and sugar.I have shared several Indian sweets made with milk like Sandesh, Milk Peda, Cham Cham.

Exotic mango kalakand instructions

  1. In aluminium vessel..add amul ghee..heat it..
  2. Now add mango pulp…saute the pulp for 5 mins.. stirring continuously..
  3. Add milk to it.. and a pinch of saffron (kesar)strands mix well….stirring occassionally..paneer like mixture will form after sometime…
  4. Stir till the mixture thickens..and little water is left…
  5. Add sugar.. mix well..off the flames..
  6. Cool the mixture for 10mins.(for sugar to dissolve in mixture).
  7. Taste the mixture..if needed add sugsr.. according to taste..
  8. After 10mins.. cook the mango mixture on medium flame.. stirring continuously..till the mixture thickens and leave the side of vessel..
  9. Off the flame.add elachi powder..mix well..
  10. Remove the mango kalakand in serving plate…
  11. Garnish with pista flakes.
  12. Cool & relish..
