Ingredients of Mango Peda
- It’s 1 cup of mango puree.
- Prepare 1 cup of unsweetened milk powder.
- Prepare 1/4 cup of milk.
- It’s 1/4 cup of sugar.
- Take 1/4 cup of cashew nut powder.
- You need 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder.
- Prepare 2 Tbsp of ghee.
- You need Pinch of kesar.
- You need as needed of Pistachios to garnish.
So we have combined the best fruit in India - the Mango, with the simplest sweet dish - the Peda.So what we have here is a Mango Peda that combines the simplicity and goodness of the Doodh Peda with the king of fruits, the Mango.In this particular recipe, we have used Sendhura variety Mangoes which are less fibrous and naturally sweet.Mango Peda or Aam Peda is a super delectable, rich and sweet lip smacking Indian dessert made with mango puree, milk powder and sugar.
Mango Peda instructions
- Wash, peel and cut the mangoes and put in processor to make a purée..
- In a wok heat ghee and add milk, stir and add mango purée. Stir very well on medium flame.
- Add sugar and mix very well so that sugar dissolves. Will take a couple of mins on medium flame.
- Add kesar and stir well on medium flame.
- Add milk powder and cashew nut powder and stir very well with a masher so that there is no lump at all. Will take 15 mins on medium flame.
- Add cardamom powder and stir very well on medium heat so that all dissolved and the mix becomes semi hard.
- The mix should be separate and easily be dropped on to a greased plate.
- Make balls and put it on a shape and garnish with chopped pistachios. Enjoy!.
It is one of those uncomplicated recipes which just needs a few ingredients and a little bit of patience.As always this mango peda is also rich in flavor.The added bonus is that the mango flavor comes from fresh mango pulp and not from some processed extract or so.
