Ingredients of Afgani Chicken
- You need 600 gm of Chicken.
- Take 3 of Onion roughly chopped.
- Take 1 tsp of Ginger garlic paste.
- You need 1/3 tsp of Turmeric powder.
- Make ready 1 cup of Curd.
- Take 1 inch of Cinnamon.
- Make ready 4 of Cloves.
- It’s 2 of Black cardamom.
- It’s 2 of green cardamom.
- Make ready 1 of Bay leaf.
- Make ready 1 tsp of Garam masala.
- You need 2 of Green chilli.
- Take to taste of Salt.
- You need 1/2 cup of Dry fruit paste(pistachio, cashew and melon seeds).

Afgani Chicken instructions
- Take chicken in a bowl. Add 2 spoon dahi, salt, Turmeric, garam masala, Ginger garlic paste and marinate for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add Chhoti & badi Elaichi long,dalchini and tej patta.Now add roughly chopped onion. Saute for approx 7-8 minutes..
- Take out the mixture and keep aside to cool. Now grind the mixture and make it paste..
- Heat oil in a pan and add marinated chicken. Saute for 5-6 minutes and add mixture paste..
- Now add dahi and salt to taste. Close the cover of the pan and cook for 20-25 minutes on medium flame..
- Lastly add 1/2 cup Posta, Kaju and magaj paste..
- Afgani Chicken is ready to serve..
I simply followed the recipe as it were.Wash chicken quarters and dry using a clean cloth or paper towel.Prick chicken all over with a sharp kitchen knife and place in a bowl.
