Ingredients of Namakpare
- You need 2 cups of Maida.
- Make ready 1 of /4 cup oil.
- Make ready 1 of /2 tsp Carom seeds.
- Make ready to taste of Salt.
- You need of Oil for frying.
Make sure to place just enough namak paras so you can turn them over easily when frying.Namak para (or namakpare), also nimki or nimkin (or namkin) is a crunchy savoury snack eaten in the Indian Subcontinent.It is also referred as Mathri sometimes in some parts of Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.Namak para is ribbon-like strips of pastry (made up of refined flour, oil and water).

- In a large mixing bow take 2 cup wheat flour and also add 1 tsp ajwain and 1/2 tsp salt and oil and mix well..
- Now add luckwarm water slowly and start to knead the dough.knead the dough well, until form stiff and tigh. Keep the dough aside covered for 15 minutes..

- Heat oil in a deep pan on medium flame. When the oil is sufficiently hot add a few namak pare at a time and fry them on low-medium flame for 7-8 minutes or until crisp and golden in colour. drain them on a kitchen towel to remove excess oil..
- Allow namak pare to cool to room temperature and store them into an airtight container.You can serve namak para with tea or as a snack..
