There are ways to make paleo coleslaw by omitting the mayonnaise all together, but I wanted to recreate the classic This coleslaw is the perfect side dish or main dish (with a little variation). Eating paleo coleslaw reminds me of my grandma.
Here is the best “Paleo Cole Slaw” recipe we have found so far. This is gonna really delicious.
Ingredients of Paleo Cole Slaw
- It’s of Slaw.
- It’s 1 head of small red cabbage.
- It’s 1 cup of Brussels sprouts, thinly sliced.
- You need 3/4 cup of shredded carrots.
- Take 10 of green onions, sliced.
- Take 1/2 cup of slivered almonds, toasted.
- It’s of Sauce.
- You need 1/4 cup of sesame oil.
- It’s 1/4 cup of liquid amino.
- Take 1/4 cup of + 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar.
- Take 1 tsp of honey.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of hot red chili oil.
- You need 2 tbsp of sesame seeds.
- You need 1 of pepper to taste.
I have a head of cabbage.Serve garnished with your favorite fresh herb (optional).I served Paleo Coleslaw with pan fried, pasture-raised, jerk-pork seasoned chops.Because I was the one making the coleslaw, I learned the secret recipe!
Paleo Cole Slaw step by step
- Slice or shred vegetables with a knife or in a food processor.
- Toast almonds over medium heat for 3-5 minutes and allow to cool. Then add them to the veggies..
- Combine sauce ingredients. Order does not matter..
- Pour sauce over vegetables and toss until coated well..
- Allow slaw to set up for at least one hour in the refrigerator before serving. Longer is better..
