Ingredients of Shakkar Pare in Jaggery / Sweet Tea Time Snacks
- Make ready 1 cup of All purpose flour (maida).
- You need 2 tablespoons of sooji.
- You need 1 cup of jaggery.
- Make ready of oil to deep fry.
- You need of salt little.
Shakarpara and Namakpara are a famous savoury snack which you can either prepare by deep-frying or baking.These sweet biscuits are popularly known as shankarpali in Maharashtra, shakarpara in Gujarat.Shankarpali also known as Shakkar Para is a traditional Diwali Snack usually made during festivities like Diwali.This crunchy, flaky deep-fried snack is also a great tea time snack.

- Take flour and sooji in a bowl and add two tablespoon of warm oil and mix well..
- Then pour water and knead into a soft dough. Keep it aside for 10 mins.
- Make balls and roll it into round chapati using rolling pin.
- Cut into1 inch rectangular cubes.
- Then deep fry the cubes in oil till it turns golden..
- Remove it from oil keep it aside.
- Add ground jaggery and little water..
- Cook till it comes to one string consistency.
- Add fried crisps to the jaggery syrup.
- Remove from the syrup and store it in dry jar.
