Moghrabieh is considered a main dish, but can absolutely be served as an appetizer if you'd like. The way Moghrabieh is typically served is by separating the cooked moghrabieh pearls in one serving bowl, and the broth, chicken, onion and chick peas mixture in a separate serving bowl.

Ingredients of Moghrabieh
- It’s of dried moghrabieh.
- Take of chickpeas.
- It’s of small peeled onions.
- You need of moghrabieh seasoning & cinnamon powder.
- Prepare of margarine or olive oil.
In a large oven plate, put butter and the Moghrabieh.Drain and then run the cooked moghrabieh under cold water.Moghrabieh is a dish that is often made to celebrate important events.When I was a kid my mother almost never made it herself.
Moghrabieh step by step
- In large pot boil the Moghrabiyeh, with a pinch of salt and 1 tbsp of oil until well done..
- Drain it and wash with cold water..
- Boil the chickpeas (soaked all night) until well done then drain..
- Boil the onion for 3 minutes then drain, then slice them..
- In a wide pan, warm the ghee and add the onion slices. Cook them until lightly browned..
- Add the moghrabiyah and the chickpeas to the onions. Mix them well, and stir everything together for 2 minutes then add the salt and the seasoning..
- Served hot with pickles.
