Rasabali (Odia: ରସାବଳୀ, IAST: rasābaḷi) is a sweet dish from Odisha, India. It is one of the Chapana bhoga of Jagannath temple.
Here is the best “Rasabali” recipe we have found so far. This is gonna smell and look delicious.
Ingredients of Rasabali
- You need 2 litre of cow milk.
- Make ready 1 tsp of lemon juice / vinegar.
- Prepare 1 pinch of salt.
- Take 1 tbsp of powder sugar.
- Prepare 4 tbsp of Sugar.
- You need 1/2 cup of Maida/ all -purpose flour.
- Make ready 1/2 cup of semolina.
- Prepare 1 tsp of cardamom powder.
- Make ready handful of chopped dryfruits.
- It’s pinch of safforn.
- You need As needed of Oil for frying.

Rasabali step by step
- Boil 1lt of milk in heavy bottom pan. Once it comes to oil, switch off the flame and start adding lemon juice till milk curdles. Uaing a strainer drain the water. & collect chena. Rinse it under cold tap water so that there is no lemon juice in it..
- Put the chena in cloth & hang it for 10min to drain out excezs water. Take the chena in plate. And semolina, wheat flour, little cardamom powder,salt & 1tblspn sugar powder. Start mashing the chenna till it's smooth. Mash 10 min using pakm. The rasmalai will become very soft. Once it's smooth, make medium size flatten balls out of it, keep it all the pattis on a greased plate..
- Now heat oil, deep fry patties over medium flame till reddies brown colour. Take them out & put over tissue papaer to absorb oil..
- Meanwhile boil another 1lt of milk in a pan on slow flame till milk thickens. Then add 4-5 tblspn of sugar & cardamom powder add saffrons(soaked in milk)..
- Now add fried chena patties in it & again boilfor 1min. By this, the patties will soak milk & become soft..
- Switch of flame. Keep it cool down completely. Then serve..
