Ingredients of Moong dal chawal ki khichdi
- Take 1 cup of rice.
- Take 1/2 cup of toor dal.
- Make ready 1/2 cup of green gram.
- Make ready 1 tsp of red chilli.
- Take 1 tsp of turmeric powder.

Moong dal chawal ki khichdi step by step
- Combine drained rice split green gram 1/2 tesp chilli powder turmeric powder salt green chillies and 2 cups water in a pressure cooker and mix well.
- Cover place on heat and pressure cook till 2-3 whistles are released open the lid when the excess air is completely released.
- Heat 2 tesp ghee in a non stick pan add cumin seeds and when it changes colour add asafoetida and saute.
- Add garlic and saute for 1 minute add onion and saute till golden brown add tomato and saute till soft add remaining chilli powder and salt mix and cook for 1 minute.
- Add cooked rice mixture mix and cook for 2-3minute add coriander leaves and mix well.
- Drizzle some ghee on top and serve hot with yogurt and pickle.
