Fish Biryani #KokabandCookpad instructions

  1. First fry the marinated fish for just 3 minutes on each side..
  2. Heat a pan and add oil in it then fry sliced onion until golden..
  3. Remove half of them from the pan and set aside, leave other half in the pan..
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and stir fry on medium heat until well softened..
  5. Add garlic paste and cook for a few minutes..
  6. Then add whisked yogurt and stir together,cook on low heat until the yogurt is well blended in to the mixture and some oil starts coming out from the sides..
  7. Now add all spices and fish and 1/4 cup water..
  8. Cook in the masala about 10 -15 minutes on low heat..
  9. Lastly,squeeze the lemon juice..
  10. Prepare the Rice..
  11. Bring a big pot of water to boil add salt,cardamom,cinnamon stick, cloves, Bay leaf, star anise and oil..
  12. Add soaked rice to this water, when it is boiling..
  13. Cook until the rice is about 3/4 done,remove and strain out all the water..
  14. Put half the rice back in to the pot,add the fish masala,then cover with the the rest of the rice..
  15. Drizzle 2 tbsp oil, yellow colour with milk, corainder leaves and brown onion on the rice..
  16. Cover the pot and put on steam for 10-15 minutes..
  17. Serve hot..
