  1. Take 3/4 cup of black urad dal.

  1. Soak urad dal along with rajma overnight.
  2. Pressure cook both in a cooker with atleast 2.5cups water and little salt in medium high flame for about 12 to 14 whistles.
  3. Open and see the cooker for any left over water.if there is any then let it simmer in the cooker without lid for some time like 10 mins.
  4. Then add milk and let it simmer with little mashing till creamy.
  5. Mean time on another pan add half of the butter in medium flame add the chillipowder, cholae powder and garam masala powder and give it a mix. take care not to burn.
  6. Then add onions and saute till soft and pink.
  7. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute.
  8. Add the tomato puree and saute till oil starts to separate. switch off stove.
  9. Now add the mixture to the simmering dal mix and let it cook for 5minutes.
  10. Adjust seasoning, add cream, add remaining butter, green chilli and switch off stove.
  11. Serve with hot plain steam rice, roti, onion lemon wedges and enjoy.
