Gram flour, also known as besan flour (channa ka aata in Hindi, sanagapindi in Telugu, kadalai maav in Tamil, cikkam maav in Malayalam, kadale hittu in Kannada, kaḍala piṭi in Sinhala and Unga Wa Gramu in Swahili), is popularly used as a facial exfoliant in India. Chickpea flour, also known as gram flour or besan, can be found in Indian or Asian markets.

Ingredients of Besan (Gram flour) pare

  1. Take 1 cup of Gram flour -.
  2. Prepare 1 cup of Wheat flour -.
  3. It’s 1 tsp of chilly Red powder -.
  4. You need 1/2 tsp of Turmeric powder -.
  5. Prepare ½ tsp of seeds Carom -.
  6. Take ½ tsp of Cumin seeds -.
  7. You need ½ tsp of Salt -.
  8. Take 1 pinch of Asafoetida -.
  9. It’s 4 tbsps of flour besan Oil - to knead and frying pare.

Besan flour, also known as Indian Gram flour is made from dried chickpeas, by powdering them.It is widely used in Indian cuisines, particularly in the making of snacks like Pakodas and sandwiches.Besan flour is also used in beauty products for its skin lightening properties.Chickpea flour is made from dry chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans.

Besan (Gram flour) pare step by step

  1. Take gram flour and wheat in any big utensil and add oil, salt, red chilly, carom seeds, cumin seeds, turmeric, and asafoetida. Mix all ingredients with the help of water .
  2. Knead hard dough, cover with cloth keep aside for 20 mins..
  3. Divide dough in two equal halves. Take one part give it a round shape and on rolling plate roll it. Cut it  with ¾ widths. Now cut into 2-2 or ½ inch length. Prepare all .
  4. Heat oil in a pan with low flame, Fry besan pare on low and medium flame and keep turn it constantly until they get golden brown color..
  5. Take out fried besan pare in tissue paper spread on a plate..
  6.  Enjoy this crispy dish in festive season.
