Ingredients of Shakkar pare Chaat
- Take 1 cup of maida.
- It’s 2 tsp of cumin seeds.
- It’s 1/2 cup of semolina.
- You need 1/2 tsp of baking soda.
- You need 1/2 tsp of asafoetida powder.
- Prepare 1 cup of chopped tomatoes.
- Take 1 bowl of potato paste (1 big potato boiled, peeled, mashed, added 4-5 tbsp of water and mixed).
- Take 1 tsp of garam masala.
- Take 1 tbsp of red chilli powder.
- Make ready 1 tsp of chaat masala.
- Take 1 tsp of raw mango powder.
- Take 2-3 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves.
- It’s 1 tsp of turmeric powder.
- Prepare 1 tsp of sugar.
- It’s 2 tbsp of thick sugar syrup.
- Make ready 2 tbsp of nylon sev.
- Make ready 1 of chopped & fried green chilli.
- It’s as needed of Wheat flour for dusting.
- Make ready as needed of Homemade ghee.
- Make ready as needed of Water.

- Spread some flour on a flat surface and using a rolling pin roll the dough in a medium thick roti. Using a cutter cut the roti in shakkarpaare shape..
- Then prick the shakkarpaare using a fork to prevent bubbles..
- Deep fry the shakkarpaare in oil. Keep aside..
- For the sauce, heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds & let them crackle. Add asafoetida powder..
- Add chopped tomatoes, cover & let the tomatoes cook for 2-3 minutes..
- Add water. Mix and add potato paste. Let it simmer..
- Add garam masala, red chilli powder, chaat masala, raw mango powder, sugar, turmeric powder, salt. Mix & let the spices cook..
- Add chopped coriander leaves & mix..
- To assemble the dish, place shakkar pare in the serving plate. Add the sauce, homemade ghee, thick sugar syrup, nylon sev, coriander leaves & chopped & fried green chilli..
