- Prepare of Full chicken.
- You need of Vegetable oil.
- Prepare of Chicken stock.
- Prepare 3 of Tomatoes.

- Prepare of Garlic.
- Prepare 2 tablespoons of Curry powder.
- It’s 1 tablespoon of salt.

- Take 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder for the rice.

Rice and Chicken(Kuku kienyeji) instructions
- Ensure the chicken is cut into smaller pieces before boiling it for atleast 1 hour and put away some chicken stock once the meat is properly boiled..
- Put some vegetable oil in a cooking pot and fry one big chopped onion till it turns golden brown. Add the curry powder and salt at this point..
- Add in the tomatoes and allow it to cook for a while till it forms a thick red paste..
- Add the chopped garlic in the pot for some flavour..
- Once the main ingredients have cooked, add the chicken pieces you had boiled earlier in the cooking pot, and stir gently..
- Add the chicken stock to enable your chicken to have thick gravy and sprinkle the chopped corriander leaves on it then let it simmer for 15 minutes..
- For the rice, boil 6 glasses of water and once it boils add the turmeric, salt and some oil..
- Wash your rice and once its well drained put it in the pot with boiling water and let it cook till the rice puffs up..
- Serve your chicken with the rice and enjoy the meal..
