Ingredients of Chickpeas Dosa
- Make ready of chickpeas (kabuli channa).
- Make ready of parboiled rice.
- It’s of fenugreek seeds (dry methi seeds).
- Make ready of Salt.
- Prepare of red chilli powder.
- Take of carrom seeds powder (ajwain).
- You need of asafoetida (hing).
- Make ready of Ghee for roasting.
- You need of Coconut chutney to serve.
Normally dosa is made with rice and black gram, and fermented before cooking.It seems like every time I try to make traditional dosa.The chickpea or chick pea (Cicer arietinum) is an annual legume of the family Fabaceae, subfamily Faboideae.Its different types are variously known as gram or Bengal gram, garbanzo or garbanzo bean, Egyptian pea.
Chickpeas Dosa step by step
- Wash and soak chickpeas,rice and fenugreek seeds for 6 hours separately..
- Grind soaked chickpeas,rice, fenugreek seeds in mixer grinder to smooth paste with enough water. Pour batter in vessel. Cover and ferment for 6-8 hours..
- At the time of making dosa,add salt red chilli powder and carrom seeds powder, asafoetida. Mix well..
- Heat dosa griddle. Pour laddleful of prepared chickpeas dosa on it. Spread in circular motion toward edge. Sprinkle ghee. Roast on medium flame till crispy golden brown..
- Flip and cook another side till crispy. Similarly prepare all chickpeas dosas.
- Serve/ Relish Delicious Hot Chickpeas Dosa with coconut chutney..
