Forget about the blue box (you know what I'm talking about) and make homemade mac and cheese for a weeknight dinner. The ham, peas, and optional hot sauce add some pizzazz to classic mac and cheese.

Ingredients of Mac N Cheese

Don't settle for ordinary mac & cheese!Creamy, dreamy and oh-so-cheesy. mac and cheese is hands-down one of the best comfort foods.Add the salt, seasoned salt and pepper.Taste the sauce and add more salt and seasoned salt as needed!
Mac N Cheese instructions
- Make the cheese sauce (see Sonia’s recipe).
- Boil the pasta and add salt and pepper. Drain after 10 minutes..
- Mix the cheese sauce and pasta and place in the oven for 20 minutes at 180 degrees..
Add milk to roux slowly, stirring constantly.Stir in cheeses, and cook over low heat until cheese is melted and the sauce is a little thick.Put macaroni in large casserole dish, and pour sauce over macaroni.
Pour in the drained, cooked macaroni and stir to combine.Pour half of the mac and cheese into the prepared baking dish.In a small bowl, combine panko crumbs, Parmesan cheese, melted butter and paprika.Make the cheese sauce by combining a fat (butter), and starch (flour), then whisking in the milk products.Cook the sauce until it's nice and thick.
