Colourful Semolina Dhokla Recipe. Dhokla is a traditional gujrati snack, spongy and fluffy in texture. It gives the semolina dhokla a fabulous aroma and special flavour.

Ingredients of Colourful Semolina Dhokla

  1. It’s For of batter:-.
  2. Take 1 cup of semolina.
  3. Take 1/2 cup of curd.
  4. Take 1 cup of water.
  5. Make ready 1 tsp of ginger-garlic-chilli paste.
  6. Make ready 1 tsp of oil.
  7. Take 1/2 tsp of baking soda.
  8. You need Pinch of Red and green food colour.
  9. Take 1/2 tsp of salt.
  10. It’s For of tempering:-.
  11. Prepare 2 tsp of oil.
  12. It’s 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds.
  13. Take 6-8 of curry leaves.
  14. Take 2 of chopped green chillies.

For preparing semolina dhokla, mix together semolina, maida, oil, sugar, salt and half of the water.Cut into squares and serve with any chutney.Health & tasty, Sooji dhoklas are easy to make.Dhokla is a vegetarian food which is made from fermented gram flour batter.

Colourful Semolina Dhokla step by step

  1. In a mixing bowl take all ingredients except baking soda,salt and water,mix well and keep it aside for 15 minutes..
  2. Now add rest of the ingredients and mix for 1 minute..
  3. Divide the batter in 3 portions,add green colour in one portion and red colour in another portion and leave third portion as it is..
  4. Grease a pot with oil nicely,firstly pour red mixture then plain mixture and finally pour green mixture..
  5. Take 2 glass of water in a cooker and let it boil,place grease dhokla tin into cooker and steam it for 25 minutes on low to medium flame..
  6. Heat 2 tsp oil in tadka pan,add mustard seeds,curry leaves and chopped green chillies and let them crackle..
  7. Check the dhokla by inserting a toothpick,allow it to cool down and transfer the dhokla carefully in a plate..
  8. Pour tempering over the dhokla nicely and cut into pieces..
  9. Colourful Semolina Dhokla is ready to serve..
